Recently, at the China-Sierra Leone Nursing Training Center in Freetown, Sierra Leone, over a dozen local healthcare workers watched via video link as Professor Zhou Lihuan from Hunan Children's Hospital demonstrated the compression techniques for neonatal resuscitation. This is the fourth training session organized by the China-Sierra Leone Nursing Training Center, focusing on neonatal resuscitation and maternal care.
At the training site, core members of the 27th China (Hunan) Medical Team to Sierra Leone also delivered clinical training on perinatal care, respiratory management, and other topics, building a specialized and targeted learning platform for local healthcare workers to effectively improve the quality of maternal and child healthcare in the region. As local nurse Salamoda Bangura put it: "We lack strength, not standards. Now someone is guiding us to build them step by step."
