240小时免签！外国网友：下一站，中国湖南！

国家移民管理局今天发布公告，12月17日起全面放宽优化过境免签政策，将过境免签外国人在境内停留时间由原72小时和144小时均延长为240小时（10天），同时新增21个口岸为过境免签人员入出境口岸，并进一步扩大停留活动区域。符合条件的俄罗斯、巴西、英国、美国、加拿大、韩国等54国人员，从中国过境前往第三国（地区），可从24个省（区、市）60个对外开放口岸中任一口岸免签来华，并在规定区域停留活动不超过240小时。

The National Immigration Administration announced today that it will comprehensively relax and optimize the transit visa-free policy starting from December 17. The stay period of foreigners eligible for transit visa exemption within China will be extended from the original 72 hours and 144 hours to 240 hours (10 days). Meanwhile, 21 additional ports will be added as ports for entry and exit for those eligible for transit visa exemption, and the area for stay will be further expanded. Qualified personnel from 54 countries including Russia, Brazil, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada and South Korea, who are transiting through China to a third country (region), can enter China without a visa through any of the 60 open ports in 24 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government), and stay within the specified areas for no more than 240 hours.

The Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport Port in Hunan Province was also one of the 21 newly added ports under this relaxation and optimization of the transit visa-free policy.

位于湖南省西北部的张家界市，属武陵山区腹地，因旅游业而建市，被誉为“放大的盆景，缩小的仙境”。进入冬季，气温骤降，但丝毫没有影响境外游客畅游张家界的热情。今年以来，张家界入境游持续火爆。数据显示，前三季度，张家界共接待入境游客129.43万人次，同比增长255.47%，境外客源地达到183个国家和地区。

Zhangjiajie City, located in the northwest of Hunan Province, lies in the hinterland of the Wuling mountain area. It is established as a city for tourism and is praised as "an enlarged bonsai and a shrunken fairyland". As winter arrives, the temperature drops sharply, but it hasn't dampened the enthusiasm of overseas tourists to enjoy their trips in Zhangjiajie at all. Since the beginning of this year, inbound tourism in Zhangjiajie has been booming continuously. Data shows that in the first three quarters of this year, Zhangjiajie received a total of 1.2943 million inbound tourists, a year-on-year increase of 255.47%, and the overseas source markets cover 183 countries and regions.
